THE HEART OF RMC
Alec Grover
Warehouse Manager

Alec has been in the industry for 7 years, joining RMC right out of high school. It is the only industry he has ever worked in and, as he puts it, all he knows. What he loves most about this industry is the people he gets to work with every day.
As for his free time, Alec describes it as 90% deciding what to do and 10% panicking that he wasted it.
"If you ain't first, you're last."

What is the most important part of your role?
It is basically a mix of logistics, organization, and low key panic management. If I do my job right, no one notices. If I mess up, suddenly 200 people are staring at an empty buffet table as if it were a modern art exhibit.
What do you enjoy about working behind the scenes?
I enjoy working behind the scenes because it is the only place where I can fix problems, drink coffee, and silently judge everything, all without anyone making eye contact with me. It is like being a ninja, but instead of throwing stars, I throw solutions.
What makes the warehouse team important to every event?
We are basically the behind the scenes magicians. Everything shows up on time, in the right place, and somehow works. Meanwhile, everyone else gets to look organized while the warehouse team is in the back lifting, loading, and quietly saving the day like event superheroes without capes. Mostly because capes are a safety hazard.
What core value represents you the most?
Collaboration. In catering, nothing gets done solo. It takes a whole team to pull off an event, and I am all about making sure everyone is working together.
