Event Designer
Alley Chamberlain
What would your work nickname be?
The team calls me Big Al. I’m a small person so it is either just funny to them or it signifies what a prominent and influential figure I am on the team and within the company! I choose the latter!
Where were you born and raised? If not Colorado, what brought you here?
I was born and raised in a small town in Southern Virginia where my family still lives. I moved to Denver in 2013 to attend culinary school at Johnson & Wales University. I enjoyed the diversity, mountain scenery and culture so much I decided to make it my new home!
When did you join Rocky Mountain Catering & Events, and in what position did you start?
I joined RMC+E in November 2023 as a server. My experience and customer service skills quickly put me on the path to Event Coordinator where I worked & trained directly with the Event Designers to plan and execute social events. Then in December 2024 | was promoted to an Event Designer and am excited about what I bring to RMC+E and can’t wait to facilitate many more events and get to know my clients.
What inspires you?
When I think about my role in a wedding event, I consider the fact that this client has been dreaming about this day their entire life. Getting to be a part of that is such a special feeling. Fulfilling people’s visions and making the dream come to life is very inspiring to me.
When not at work, what are you doing?
When not at work I like to spend time with my friends. We love to enjoy Colorado’s diverse culinary scenes and trying new foods, discovering new beers at all the local craft breweries. My German Shepard mix, Kaya, enjoys all the dog-friendly outdoor spaces and being in the mix with us, whenever she can.
What is your favorite food?
I LOVE Japanese Udon noodles! I love them in soups, I love them in stir fries and even love them in cold salads. As a bonus...they are much easier to handle with chopsticks!
Favorite RMC Food?
The Award-Winning Luther Burgers. What is not to like? It is essentially a burger, melted cheese, candied bacon and caramelized onion ALL inside a grilled donut hole. Bring on the sweet and savory mix of flavors!
